Jaz segrevam nekje 10 minut. Ko boste vse skupaj prelili v posodice (jaz sem v plastične, katere sem kupila v Sanolaborju) in po nekaj minutah ohlajanja boste dobili super kremo.

English:

Calendula is an annual herb that grows up to half a meter high. The blooms are yellow or orange and the entire surface has hair that feels a little resinous. Its flowers we collect in the summer. As with all plants we need to be aware that they are collected in a dry, sunny weather, because this is the only way to keep as many healing properties. Last year I had quite a lot of stock calendula. I had dried up some in the attic and some (because I want to us it as soon as possible) in the drier. I received it last year from parents, since it was my wish for some time. So I opened the drier with calendula (picture 1).

I think that the calendula is a versatile plant. It can be used in tea mixtures, natural cosmetics in soaps or as first aid in the form of ointments. Today I will present in more detail how to make calendula ointment. Of course it can be purchased in pharmacies and all the other stores, but the feeling when you do some of your own and completely natural is simply divine.

For basic calendula ointment, you will need the following:
- Freshly picked or dried calendula (somewhere 250g)
- Olive oil (1liter)
- Beeswax (100g wax)

In a large container with maximizing bottom place across the surface all calendula flowers and pour the olive oil so the flowers are most covered with oil. On low heat tank we heat and mix. Be careful not to heat too much. I heat it about 10 minutes. After this time remove it from heat, cover it and place for a day in a dark room. In the meantime it will leach from the flowers most of substances. Next day the oil with flowers carefully decant into another container through cheesecloth or a colander and at the end squezze the flowers. At moderate heat add beeswax and mix until the wax is melted. If we have wax in a cube, it is recommended that you try to get into smaller pieces which melts faster. Once you have it all poured into the container (I gave it in plastic, which I bought in Sanolabor) and after a few minutes of cooling you get great cream. Last year I made ointment twice. My second batch calendula ointment looked like on the second picture.

The ointment is suitable for any skin ailments and diseases. It is used for dry, cracked skin, acne, warts, burns, wound healing, bites, hemorrhoids as well as the baby's irritated skin. For calendula ointment is the main feature that it inhibits the growth of microorganisms and promotes wound healing.

Have a great day :)
